When producing Plastic Cabaret series, Arda got inspired by the architectural visualizations that are being used for the marketing of the new residences that we are exposed because of heavy urbanization. In these visuals, these building blocks are shown under a perfect light in perfect harmony with the nature and the city that surrounds them. But, as we all know and experience, most of them are a part of the concrete jungle we all have to live in. Advertisements promise us secure, luxurious locations in which we can live together with people like us...in return for all our savings and lifelong credit instalments.

Each image in Cabaret Plastique series represents a room or a shared space within these buildings. In each room, in the kitchen of a nice house, at a poolside, in a posh home office or on a private beach, there are people who consume loads of vitamins and anti-depressants not able to understand why they are unhappy instead of enjoying their lives.

Arda was using computer-generated elements in his previous works along with photographs and videos, in The Cabaret Plastique series, which he produced in 2017 and exhibited at Contemporary Istanbul, also has the distinction of being the first works of the artist produced using 3d softwares only. These works have featured in many online and printed publications, including The Economist and Vogue.
